Hi It is just starting to snow here. Some places up to 18 inches of snow by Tuesday morning. I hope it isn't us, we live by the lake and it isn't frozen yet. All depends on the wind too.

My granddaughter went to Floridia and she says it is dirty looking right now because it is their winter. She went to a huge barn sale called the Red Barn it has everything there.

Hi, tried to place an order over the phone 3 days in the row on Black Friday, Saturday and following Monday couldn't get through.

So I decided to try today and their computers are down again.

We just pickled our lawnmowers to get ready for winter.

Too put a valve stem in our tire at Walmart cost $10.60. The prices just keep going up and up.

Hi, My turkey, stuffing and sweet potatoes are cooking in the electric roasting pan I can finally smell them cooking.

My granddaughter Samantha and Son Jimmie phoned today.

Looking at the adds in the paper for Black Friday. I went once on Black Friday I would never go again. I would go without or pay the difference in the price.

Veteran's Day

Hi, today is Veteran's Day.
I hope everyone remembers what it stands for it isn't just another holiday to spend at our pleasure.
Forget the shopping it is a day to give thanks who fought for us and our freedom. They have given up alot for us. Say thanks to them every day too just not this one.
Think what it is all about one time. Hang out your flag, go and visit the Veteran's hospital and say thanks to them.

New washer and dryer

Hi, well we went and bought a new washer and dryer the ones that saves water, soap and energy.

What a difference in the water only 12 gallons used a big difference.
The washer is the one with the door in the front and no agitator. The dryer has a light in it too.

I'm not a dryer user but tried it out. It took little time to dry because the clothes come out of the washer almost dried it seems hardly any water left after it spins them.

My husband says too use the dryer because he doesn't like crunchy towels.

I will continue to hang out clothes.

snow at Erie, Pennsylvania

Hi well sitting here writing this it is snowing out.
I hate it too!

Looked at some new cupboards and it is going to be oak.

Takes 4 weeks to get them because they are specially made because of the height.
If we decide to get them.
A lot of work to be done before they come the old ones have to be torn out and all of the things in the cupboards and draws will have to be boxed up.

went to the blind center today and they are working with Ed on devices so maybe he can look at some magazines.

Fall and Painting the basement

Hi, well just had to stop and say hi.

Down in the basement washing the walls to get them ready to paint.

It has to be done again. I wash them with clorax then paint them with Sear's out door paint. The reason for this paint remember the outdoors paint has to hold up with different weather conditions.
It is so much better than basement paint. I did the basement about 5 years ago.

I haven't decided what color yet. Yellow or blue.

Hi, I was woke up and was told that the kitchen sink was leaking. Well, got up and tore all the pipes out and cleaned them out. I put them all back together no leaks. I put a pan under to collect all the drippings from washing the pipes out. When, we get out new cupboards they will have to be replaced with new ones.

Another fall day outside it is so pretty out.

Going to go and hang out clothes.

We are headed to get our flu shots today.

I haven't been writing because I have been at the hospital more than at home with him being in it several times this month and last month.

Hi, Well it's been another long day here. My husband was in the hospital again this week.
It is sun shining out now it looks like a fall day here. The leaves are turning.
It is getting darker out side earlier in the evenings too!.
The older you get the time surely fly's by quicker.

hot cooking in the micro wave oven

Hi, it is been really hot and humid the last week. I been cooking in the crock pot and learning to cook in the micro wave oven. I put two ears off corn in it and dampened a paper towel and nuked it for 5 minutes not bad I still prefer it boiled.
I bought some of the pre - fried bacon for BLT's it is okay just reheat it in the micro wave oven.

I usually cook everything on the stove or in the oven but I'm not heating up the kitchen for anything. We do have air too!

Hi, well making poor man's cabbage rolls in the crock pot.

It is actually sun shining here this morning.

I do not like callers who do not know who they are calling. You tell them that person doesn't live here and they tell you they do! It is a bill collector for someone and I keep telling them she doesn't live here I told him I will contact Attorney General and he acted like he didn't even know what I was talking about.. He even phoned before 8:00 am. I told him I will get him for harassment and he kept on talking. I told him to look up Attorney General in the dictionary to see what it meant and he still couldn't get what I was talking about.

I don't give out my name to these kind of people either.

Hi, well it is raining here again today but the sun came out for about 5 minutes.

I have two yellow crook neck squashes growing. I keep checking on them because this is the first year my plants ever produced a squash usually just flowers than they die off. I have a lot of tomatoes growing again this year.

Hi, well it is raining here today with my clothes hanging out and getting a second rinse on them.

Well, my little Buster is having back problems.. He is a dachshund. Just giving him medicine and keep rubbing his back with Ben Gay and keep him warm and from drafts and no jumping. The jumping part is the hardest thing to do.. Ed actually tore our picnic table apart about 7 years ago when Piddle Diddles was having trouble with her back and made a ramp out of the top of it. So she didn't have to climb steps. We, still have it set up the same way for Buster and Piddles.

Well, frying porkchops with garlic, yams, and fried summer squash for supper.

Hi, well it is raining here again this morning it started last night.
Had to take my Buster dogie to the Vet's he has a bad back. We have to give him some medicine for about 3 weeks. This is common in Dashound's because they are so long.

Sunshine

Hi, what a beautiful day outside. The sun is shining and it isn't hot out, we couldn't ask for a more perfect day than this one.

I cooked a beef roast in the crock pot with sweet potatoes, onions, garlic, red potatoes, carrots and yams.

I cut some more dresdon blocks out again.

We sat outside with our little Piddles and Buster.

I washed the porch out front.

I washed the burners off the stove today.

HI, Ed just got his other cataract removed today. Tomorrow they will take the patch off of it and we begin the drops in that eye. Still putting drops in the right eye too for two more weeks. Three weeks for the left eye.
Mowed the front yard and the side yards took the mower to the back yard started mowing it and finished it with just three wheels one fell off but found it so now I got to put it back on. I know I shouldn't mowed with just three wheels but it is going to rain again tomorrow had to get it done. The yard was still damp from all the rain we had just a day ago. It was very deep. We have dashounds and the grass was touching their bellies. We couldn't have that.

Have to go and hunt for my rotary cutter I think I might of picked it up and threw it away I hope not I will have to drive 7 miles to get another one if I do I will buy two and have a spare.

Hi, it has been raining since last night. Our back yard looks like a lake. The drain is draining but just not big enough too take it all down.
They said we had about 4 inches of rain so far today and more comming. Some of the streets are actually closed because of the rain and debris.

Well, I pretty proud of myself I installed my new kitchen floor. I have a little bit around the kitchen sink and the refrigerator than I will be done. I never did this before. My sister Tiana over the phone kept saying you can do it and I did it. It looks so nice. It is a four square and a diamond in the middle.

cataracts

Hi, it was a long day Ed got the right eye cataract off. What a night I went through one minute he wasn't going to do it next he was.
I'm tired in two days I have had 4 hours of sleep. We got home I mowed the front yard, made supper, hung out clothes and more to hang when they are done washing. Filled the dishwasher waiting for it to get done. I have to do some things by hand.

Worked on my Dresdon quilt blocks at the cataract surgery center.
I folded fabric tonight trying to organize it again.

This is my little Piddle Diddles she is almost 18 years old in July 2009. She weighs 8 lbs. but a very long dashound. She is suppose to be chestnut and black but with her age she is white and black. She is the best little dog in the world even when she isn't feeling good she always is there for you and she always looks like she is throwing out kisses and hugs.

Happy Father's Day

Hi, I was very surprised today when my sister Tiana phoned and said she was on her way here with my dad. My dad didn't raise me but I still respect him.

But another year with no contact from Ed's children that's shameful. All they have to do is pick up the phone and call. They will regret it someday when he isn't here.

I hope they read this too! You can see it in his eyes and here it in his voice the sadness. But his little Buster and Piddles wished him a Happy Father's day and they are his little doggies and his best friends too!

I know that all families have there problems but a phone call to their dad.

THINGS AREN"T MADE LIKE THEY USED TO BE!

HI, I went to use my dish pan made by Rubber Maid I filled it up and then it cracked down the side it is about 2 months old. It is very thin made. MY old one is twice is thick as this new one.
Then we went to Country Fair to get some Swiss Cheese and it wasn't very good either.

I just got done cleaning up all the branches in the back yard and put them into barrels. What a job.
Then we washed the deck down in the back of the house it is our doggies own deck.

Hi, it has been raining off and on here all day long. I went in the backyard of ours and the neighbor and began to cut the limbs off of the trees.
Went to the hospital to pick up my husband from there and then we went to the urologist to get his biopsy done because he would not do it in the hospital because they get fully reimbursed in their office. But now he is home again I hope we never have to go there again.

Hi, This is Samantha, Or Sam she just graduated from Wattsburg High School Seneca. I'm very proud of her. She is already working in her field and starting to go to college. It was a beautiful graduation. She had a graduation last week from a Technical School.
Where has all the time gone.It is very scary.
She is my first grand daughter too!. I'm so proud of her.

Hi, well it is quiet here at 4:58 am my little doggies got up and went outside now sleeping again.
I can hear the birds chirping. We had a bad storm last night with a lot of lightning, rain, and wind.

They surely don't make things like they used to.. Had to replace the toilet seat, it just has plastic screws and bolts I had to hacksaw them off. I remember them being made of metal.

Well, My granddaughter Sam short for Samantha graduates this year.
She is going to go to college in designing she is working in her field already for a year.

We went to my sister's wedding today. It was at West Field, New York I'm not used to driving that far. It was a small wedding but very nice. We had a nice meal after the wedding.

Which it was specially made for them. They have their little dog house, lounge chair and a two sitter lounge. They even have a picnic table too! It is 12 feet by 12feet. It even has a ramp over the steps to come up from the backyard. We sit with them on it too!

We had to clean some off of this car because we had to start it and get the bird feed out of it we don't drive this one very much.

Hi, We had around 15 inches of snow dropped yesterday what a diaster.
I actually got stuck on the next block and had to walk home. I went back with a shovel, ice scrapper and a bucket of salt. A nice man down there offered to take me home but he wasn't able to shovel or push because of his health but he lent me his shovel.
It was a sheet of ice with all this snow on it we have seen all this winter 4 snowplows and that is it.
I shovel and de-iced the ground with the scrapper and put salt down in front and back of the tires and I finally got out in the meantime Ed's daughter and son-in-law came to my rescue too. We finally got home and we snowblowed the driveway out what a mess.
When I got into the house finally and stayed I looked like a wet rat my hair was actually dripping with water.

I HATE SNOW AND I'M READY FOR SPRING!

Hi, well is is snowing again.
I finished cutting one set of squares for my granddaughter's quilt.
I had to buy some new blades for my rotery cutter. Now I have to cut black squares than some butterfly squares and sashing for the blocks.
I can't wait for spring I' m so sick of shoveling and bundling up in heavy clothes. I want to be able to open my windows up and sit outside. I hate being couped up inside.

Hi, Well the sun is shining but it is only 18 degrees out it looks warmer. The side roads are sheet of ice and covered with snow. It is so bright you don't need a light today in your homes. It even makes our white walls have a yellow tint on them.
My other computer is suppose to be picked up today and see what is wrong with it. I can get yahoo but I can't open any pdf files. I can't get the regular MSN homepage unless I go throught yahoo. It keeps saying it needs confrigued.

Just doing the common things washing clothes, dishes and cleaned the gas stove.
When it is nice outside I think everyone feels better that is my opionion I know I do.

Hi, well the temperature got to 32 degrees a heat wave. The sun is even shining. It is alot warmer than last week. It seems so nice to see no snow falling.

Hi, well we got more snow today around 4 inches. They say we have had 109 inches of snow this year.

It is cold and windy today.
I had to actually go out in the back yard to clear out the vent for our furnace because the snow was getting to deep around it. The snow was up to my knees.

Hi, We snowblowed the driveway,sidewalk and a path for the mailperson and paperperson.

I'm cooking a porkroast and baked potatoes in the crockpot. I put onion soup over the roast. Then I wrapped potatoes and put in foil and put into the crockpot cooking hight for about 8 hours.

We also cleaned the deck off for the little munchkins. I cleaned the ramp and went down into the backyard and shoveled an area so they could walk around now it is snowing again.
We had about 7 inches of snow since last night.

Hi, it is cold out again I wish spring would come early this year.

I was able to save my items off the other computer lost somethings but the main one I wanted to save was my Pictures.

I was looking at all the items I saved I would have to be 1,000 years old to do all those things like crochteing, knitting, quilting and cooking.
I wonder why we save things and know we will never use them all.

I even have some magazines I saved and never even opened them again I just marked the cover what I wanted to refer too again.

I started back on my granddaughter's quilt again cutting.
My granddaughter Sam and her boy friend Todd stopped in last night. They went to a Chinese reserant to eat out. They was going to Todd's father birthday party only a few blocks away from our house.
We had fried bonless pork with garlic, cottage cheese, fried potates garlic and mexican rice for supper.
I didn't like the rice and I love mexican food.
My Ed, Buster and Piddles loved the supper.

Well, today I have to snoblow and Hope to get the car unburried and started.

Hi, well we finally got up to 11degrees outside but the wind is blowing and it is bitter cold out. It was -4 last night so that is a warm up for us.
Just going through things and tossing out.
I guess you want to call it winter spring cleaning.
You would freeze outside if you went out to do anything today.
Making copies of my pictures, quilt, knitting, crocheting patterns so I will never go through what I did before not backing up my files.
You learn the hard way by your mistakes.
Piddles and Buster just came in and hibernationg in their fleece blankets.
It is very quiet here today.
It is getting closer to spring too! I can't wait.

Hi, It is bitter cold here tonight and snowing.
Fixed fried chicken than put rice and taco season in frying pan. Then added onions, Mexican cheese.
Buster and Piddles don't even want to be outside in this weather I don't blame them at all.
We snow blowed the driveway and sidewalk this morning but now we will have to do it again tomorrow. We are suppose to get around 12 inches of snow by Friday afternoon running out of room to put it.

It is bitter cold out today.
We went to Walmart hardly anyone there.
We are suppose to get lake effect snow till Friday.
I'm so ready for spring if i could do anything about it we would by pass winter totally every year.
We had to get a blow dryer so we could dry out the telephone lines. Our lines get damp and no telephone or the interent. We contact the provider but they keep telling us it is our lines inside.

We had chili again my piddles and buster just loves it.

I finally got all my pictures and documents off of my broken computer. This time I backed them up twice.
I do not want to go through that again retrieving them off a computer.

Hi, well it snowed last night. I had to shovel the deck off and the ramp so Piddles and Buster could go and do their thing. We had about a foot of snow and it is still snowing out.

Hi, I'm surely not having any good luck this year 2009.
Now my computer went hay wire.
It won't confrigue anymore.
We went looking for a new one. Ed found one he liked but I told him I would keep trying to fix this one.
We went to Sam's Club and that's where he found it a very nice one but we are going to keep looking and working on this one I hate spending that kind of money.

Hi, I thought my life was going to be better this year.
Well, yesterday I was putting cranberry sauce on a dish and it slid on to the floor.
Today my computer went on trip of it self messing up.
Now I'm spending my extra time saving my pictures to a usb driver.
I can't open any documents with pdf files and i have so many saved I could just sit down and cry but it won't do any good. But I'm saving the most important is my pictures that i couldn't replace.

some of the patterns I can't replace but I rather have our family pictures any day.
well, got to go and get some more pictures down loaded before we take this computer to get fixed.
I probably didn't help it either I tried to fix it too I should of kept my fingers off of it.
